Alabaster and silken dreams!
Garlands of white jasmin,
Exuded their rich perfume,
Mingling in the jaded gardens,
With orange blossoms and lime,
Slowly barefoot along the path,
I walked toward the temple,
Rich in the tapestry of Sanskrit verse,
Little temples embossed in gold,
Led me on, like way signs from another world,
Toward and forward to a hallowed entrance,
Silken saris danced in the shadows gleam,
Voluptuous golden bodies evoking spirits,
Circling and circling shaping all in fluid motion,
Paradise I thought, had I found my way to,
No, this must be a prelude, for more riches I could see,
Behind the veils just beyond the entrance,
A rainbow of colours, images, incense and candles,
Quietness, reverend admonition to the spirit in its domain,
Serene Stillness, mingling with the drifting smoke of incense,
Deep sonorous chant, from deep caverns of my soul,
Stilling the mind, ascending the soul to an other dimension,
Restful, peaceful, heaven and earth mingled in this place.

Sounds truly marvelous to me.
