What a way to lose a war!

Chariots of fire, laced with love,

Racing with desire,

Stars fulfillment promise from above,

Young men their weapon drawn,

Strong their phalanx slicing,

Through flesh with life so warm,

Bodies twisting churning

In riot of the night,

All fulfillments yearning,

The victorious and the vanquished,

Liberated freed of pain,

Venus all her blessings wished,

Mars succumbed to her desire,

Still burning flames his thrust,

With love put out his fire
