Greed is causing so much pain, be it from factory farms, hunger, environmental degration etc, sharing, after greed has made the other poor, that is to add insult to injury, that for the next hundred years should be sermon on the pulpit, for it affect zillions, and more to come........
*Cruel Greed!* *Going to church, could put you in a bind,* *Unless, to prejudice you’re blind,* *Perversions you will find,* *Lesbians Gays, or any other way,* *Is always a cheap and rewarding play,* *When preachers join the righteous fray,* *But out of a basket full of sin,* *That seems to be what is in,* *It seems an easy win,* *Instead though, the more important of Satan’s treasures,* *Poverty, cruelty, and greed, not really measured,* *Wherefrom all the others find their pleasure,* *Lets take greed for instance, one of the deadly sins,* *This sort of sin makes sure no other wins,* *Which in turn makes sure that poverty is in,* *Now another, take cruelty,* *It’s most rampant, if you care to see,* *Another deadly sin, so much caused by gluttony,* *Yet seldom, to have I heard the cry,* *From the pulpit high,* *Just only on the fly,* *Let me say, there is a play, to join the fray,* *The ugliest of sins to slay,* *The hunger pains of millions it could stay,* *Instead, we have acres and acres of wheat,* *That only beef will eat,* *For what our greedy taste buds need,* *Cattle, chickens, beef and swine in crates,* *For them horrendous cruelty awaits,* *To feed the hungry, no, just our greedy stomach sates,* *A sin on a scale of millions,* *While factory farms make billions,* *We’re sinning in the zillions,* *Abstinence, from what should we preach,* *It’s right within our reach,* *You’ve got it, greed, greed, greed, abstinence from that, should preach and teach.*

Well said Jasmin. I am with you i believe that we are also killing ourselves with food, i lost two brothers due to food disorders, gluttony

Wow. Like you are saying we should leave the gays and lesbians alone and look at our real sins? Alleluia. But then we might find solutions and become creative and end up in peace, maybe. Love this thought provoking write. Excellent.Liz

One day will come when the world will have a hundred billion hungry people to feed, no place to grow korn and no more fish in the seas, what then? have anybody thought about it? do we care at all? because we are talking of leaving that future to our children children's children...Oh my God! what kind of legacy is that...

I'm in your choir. A sea change is happening right before our eyes. Parts of the world thought to be poor are becoming economic giants. We have gotten so far away from our work ethic sense of fairness that we are likely to be blindsided when we find that our money and no longer by the excess we consume without thinking. While our preachers enrich themselves in their pulpits preaching good news and wealth, we are slipping closer to the abyss.

It is time for the philosophers and poets of this world to join with the scientific community and spread the word. Good job!
