On the grand scale of things, when the ego no longer functions,,,

Significant insignificance!

Like a grain of sand washed upon the shore of the universe,
Washed over by the waves of time, again and again,
What mountain brought me forth, this depths traverse,
Where thus before had lain,
Giants sculpted a momentary image upon me,
That time erased unending over and over again,
Yet, I am still here, as you can see,
Like a songs refrain,
And with all my brethren billions strong,
Along the shores of time and wave,
This universe, that we belong,
To Giant forces slave.

Very "significant" title, my friend, Jasmin. Time and forces have indeed sculpted you well. Your poem refers me back to the writings of C.S. Lewis who said we may have the importance of things very backwards, that the individual human being probably is more important in God's eyes than the very idea of nation...Jerry

So wisely written are your words, J-H! I really enjoy when you are inspired to "tell-it-like-it-is"!! Well said, dear friend...

How so very true, and although I hate to agree with the Jersey Devil on anything, I love your title, too!

Outstanding write my friend, amazing indeed! Creative...I had to go back and read it a second time, I enjoyed it as much the second time as I did the first time! Well done!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

If I were a giant I wouldn't never had sculpted a momentary image upon you, but one that will provoke awe when looking up at you, like a ant do when looking up at the top of Niagara water falling and see its universe coming down and feel the mighty thunder.
