Intelligent life on other planets, most likely, lifes with souls, most likely, could they look like chimps, ducks, yes, is there intelligent life on this planet? yes, in the insane assylum we call earth.

Selfserving!

Who, is worth a soul?
Aristotle thought, not animals,
Yet, we are related,
Not much different, on the whole,

Primates are we not, sort of,
Behave like them most of the time,
Except a brain in overdrive,
Sees its image in the trough,

A glorious image much refined,
After all we use utensils,
To eat, to work,
We are so refined,

Kalashnikovs, and cannons large,
To kill our brothers kind,
Much skill we use, make it an art,
For nations sake, we brainless March,

Build buildings to the sky,
Cathedrals large with pride,
While millions die,
And little children starve,

Write fairytales, in sermon books,
To aggregate more glory,
In arrogance, we see ourselves,
A mirror image, of Gods good looks,

All senseless, all this pride,
For it is stolen madman’s glory,
We think it smart,
But yet, from God we hide,

In fear, for we are sinners,
Not so, the little monkey,
Innocent is he,
Is he not the winner?

Perhaps in other planets, intelligence as evolved following the right way, and not the wrong way of ours, with that useless brain in overdrive! ! !
Thanks for the words.

Jas, some thoughts
When you mention the possibility of ducks on another planet, the first thing I thought of, is this where Howard the Duck came from?

While bathing in my sinful state, I was reminded that I should stop what I'm doing because we are made in Gods image. My question to those concerned, is, what does God look like, to whit, they cannot
answer.

I find it interesting that we have come so far, re. knives and forks, yet we have missed the mark in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, giving shelter to those in need...ummm, where did I hear that before?

Excellent write,
Peace,
Dan

Write on dear Jas, you have the gift of the Baptist shouting in the desert, "prepare a way for the Lord" ET

In arrogance, we see ourselves,
All senseless, all this pride

And I truly believe it will be our downfall, and much sooner than many care to believe.

This a profound and give lots to think about, I agree with that as Joyce Said before I saw her words. She explained it better than I can now in words I don't have. I do believe in God and will always and know I am a part of him, and have faith that I know where I am going in the end of time and when death finishes me.

Hmm, you give the reader much to think about my friend...your poem takes a long hard look at the life of man as well as his beliefs, habits, and pretty much the heart and soul. One thing for sure man may fool others, he might even fool himself...but he can't fool God, for He sees all and knows all! I'm afraid that many will come up short in the end...as they have worked for nothing more than self gain, and self satisfaction and recognition. Indeed a thought provoking write....
Blessings from Ky.
