Cheap flights!
Cheap flights of fancy dear,
Not, bring heaven you more near,
Together like sardines so tight,
Take off on heavens flight,
A more accommodating way,
A bit more extra fare you pay,
You get to the place you’re going,
On a plane, or rowing,
One way or the other,
Why, being cramped does bother,
Holiday, or permanent rest,
On paradise islands, or heavens crest,
Yet if you want to part en mass,
Take the tourist class,
Or, go with the best,
To your eternal rest,
A bit more extra effort before the end,
And some quiet discernment,
A better fare to heaven rent,
But if you feel,
That the salesman’s spiel,
In tightly packed churches pew,
Appeals to you,
By all means, who would deny,
You the means to heaven fly,
It’s like mom and apple pie,
It’s all there in the sky,
But if you like the more exotic,
Take the first class, or narcotic,
For sure, all do in the end,
Bring you, around the bend,
Individual, or en masse,
Get there; don’t give the steward sass,
Very few do crash,
And their plane, do trash,
Mistakes, sloppiness, or greed,
Or maybe too much speed,
End in hells kitchen for a time,
Otherwise they’re fine,
Listen to your inner voice,
Which ticket is your choice?
When the twilight zone awaits,
Before long, you’re at the exit gates.
Be always safe,
Karen
