There in the corner of my eye,
Just barely, I see a hush,
A darkened shadow passing by,
Often now, I see,
Sort of on the fly,
It passing me,
Perturbed a mirrors glance,
Stand still to shave,
Quickly past me does advance,
Like a hooded knave,
Along the wall,
It hushes,
Where light does fall,
There it is,
When least expected,
You know when lights amiss,
It’s searching, so it seems,
It’s looking everywhere,
But it’s quiet, never screams,
Before the shadow came,
Tobacco smoke familiar,
Erinmoore it’s name,
Or something closely similar,
Things falling of the Granny clock,
First the key,
Than it, from side to side would rock,
All those in the know,
My eldest ,and his mom,
That waft of smoke he’d sow,
Both now are mighty glum,
Old Mick is looking for his child,
A shadow of himself,
Something has him riled,
I’ll surely have to tell the wife,
For she’s been gone a week,
That it, with spook, this house is rife,
To him, she better speak,
Sit down and talk it out with him,
Something does him bother,
In shadows robe, looks for his kin,
Her one and only father,
What ever it could be he’s done,
Steals his eternal rest,
Forgive, and let his hurt be gone,
Both you, and him, will, with peace be blessed.
