Life’s a ball!
Dancing down the corridor of life,
Mirrors everywhere,
Mirrors with memories,
Mirrors with judgement,
Looking back eternal,
Ornate mirrors, with gold and green patina,
All around are they, on ceilings, on walls, and floors,
The swirls of dancers reflecting,
Some dressed in tux, some in shorts,
Some ladies wear nothing,
Some dance with a partner,
Some with a pole,
Or a Russian, or yank,
All are dancing to the rhythm of the moment,
Some are dancing to their own drum beat,
Always see their reflection in a mirror,
Along with all the others, no one can escape,
Some close their eyes to escape,
But the mirror knows,
It plays it back sooner or later,
And sooner or later,
One misstep,
And viola,
You dance into you,
In the mirror,
And that is the dance you’ll dance forever,
Unless, a dancing partner, an Angel,
Dancing you back out, and back in,
And back out, ballrooms everywhere,
Life’s like that
One misstep,
And viola,
You dance into you
Life's like that - indeed it is, my friend. But we must continue to dance - what else can we do?
