The Little Red Riding Hood in the Whitehouse?
A basket of goodies oil and gas,
In her basket she has,
And just for a bit of fun,
In her stockings she hides a gun,
That’s for that big bad wolf, and all his kind
In grandpas bed she hopes she’ll find,
She’ll trade all her goodies and all her toys,
Readily for life’s little joys,
The big white hunter leads to the den,
To shoot the critter, no matter when,
It doesn’t matter a hoot to her,
If they’re with, or without fur,
A hockey mom lays claim to be,
Up home in that frozen sea,
A sport of the frozen northern kind,
A Canadian sport you’ll find,
But religion that’s her kind,
In the crosshairs of a gun you’ll find,
Like a hated mother in law, treats Mother Nature fair,
While for treasure hunts within in her lair,
Trinkets toys and booty too,
To buy another golden shoe,
She’ll kill her, rape, or steal,
To grease her greasy wheel,
An ancient reptile with a gun,
Emancipation not her fun,
But brothers sisters of her kind,
Much beauty in her find,
Religious fervour on her side,
The ones, by gun, and greed abide,
They claim her to be wise,
A lady vice, just in disguise,
My friends I asked you this,
Is this your joy and bliss?
Such joy in life will gain,
With little red, and old Mc Cain

And very sadly, no matter what America decides to call her, under her national leadership, it will be America's ever vanishing wildlife that will truly suffer the most.

There are those who are saying that Palin is being used as a "dancing baby" distraction. She does know the oil business in a state where 80+% of the annual state revenue comes from oil sales. The oil price hikes have been very good for Alaska, and she would have no good reason to support alternative energy issues. Other than that, she knows how to be mayor of a small town, and governor of a small state, where she has governed by force rather than by diplomacy. If McCain/Palin win this election, and something happens to McCain, a totally unqualified Palin will be thrust into the presidency. Being a socker-mom will not matter to Congress, nor the Pentagon, nor the State Department ... as they run over the top of Palin to achieve their own opportunistic ends. And, if McCain survives his term, Palin will be useless in international diplomacy. This pairing does not look good for America.
I almost hate to say this, but the ideal (if impossible) Republican pairing would have been McCain/Clinton ... if only they were not on opposite sides of the flag. BTW ... I am NOT a Republican :-)
