Are we collecting bail?
To keep those hoodlums out of jail,
Or are we bailing a trough with a sieve,
A legacy of greed’s derivative,
Oh so much greed,
While millions are in need,
What are we bailing?
While those that watched are wailing,
The assets of the crooks,
That put us on the hooks,
Seize and desist,
Let no one dare resist,
Move quickly now before they’re gone,
And with their gains more evil spawn,
It’s the measure of your truth,
No more, they us abuse,
Because I understand,
The laws that in our land,
Are your responsibility?
You are there for you and me,
For years and years you dithered,
While in this mess we slithered,
Unfettered capitalism just like communism,
Will create unbalanced schism,
That breaks the tie that binds,
Then common kinship blinds,
On steroids make of sport,
A different kind of sort,
That honest decent folk don’t do,
Yet, those are the ones you sue.
The Dicks and Harry’s in their castles,
Private armies have and vassals,
Have all the guns and power,
Give orders from their ivory tower,
Something smells to heaven high,
Of the barons, of the days gone by,
That took and took, and never gave,
Held for ransom every knave,
Freedom held a heavy price,
But it’s no more now, its all lies,
Wake up dear land so sweet,
And use your ballots to defeat,
Those that think the Holy Grail,
That they live well, while you pay bail
