Options!
Between the devil and the deep blue sea,
As if I didn’t know it that is me,
A dilemma were my usual brilliant mind,
Is running overtime, some accommodation to find,
It’s like this, if I vote green, my conscience says,
I’ll help the scoundrels I don’t like I guess,
Or should I help the party that might have a chance,
Nothing makes sense at a glance,
There might be some seats I clearly hope,
But that belies the larger scope,
Cause if those scoundrels get back in,
None of us is going to win,
Be unfaithful to my own, the ones I like,
Or help next best to win just out of spite,
I’ve got them down to one two three,
Which one will it be?
I know, I’ll toss a coin, I think,
This is driving me to drink,
And as I weigh my options all,
It’s for the green girl that I fall,
Fate as usual has its way,
She bought the beers what can I say?
None of us is going to win
Are you sure you're not voting in the U.S.??

This is the year of the most difficult decisions where we the poets seem definitely the wiser.
Enjoyable read.
