happy little creatures all around.......

On eating meat.
As long as you pet them first,
And you are kind,
But not future blood you thirst,
And leave no trail of blood behind,

They’ll never know what for they are,
That sweetest creature small,
Those reach their little hands so far,
For they’re not very tall,

That tiny fenced green pasture is,
Just in reach of small arms petting,
Much filled with love and bliss,
Smiling faces, and grateful setting,

A petting zoo for them and you,
Innocence within, innocence without
But if they only knew,
Their future screams so loud,

Reminds me of my friend in prose,
“ some hae meat, and cannot eat it”
A little ditty did he pose,
Some would eat that had it, and then did,

The little darlins they don’t know,
Or else their food would choke,
What heartbreak we do sow,
How many hearts we broke

What heartbreak we do sow

And only we humans sow it, on such a horrendously large scale today.

I wouldn't call a Texas long-horn bull a little darling and gonna pet it, but I know what you mean.
Then you know that cruelty istn't only done to animals big and small, we also give a life saving operation to a death-row inmate so we can execute him two weeks after.
