Did I not know that the soul not the mind is the important part of me, I could easily snap you see.

Fountains of the mind.

Is it just my mind that thinks like it does?
From stagnant ancient reservoirs does spring,
Fountains of perplexed observations,
Of visiting old memories maybe,
Of formulations streaked by twixt emotions,
Of happiness and sadness,
Of despair and penetrating pain,
Like bittersweet chocolate, cast in syrup of honey,
Why can’t I not just see things as happy as they are in the moment, without looking at its future sadness?
Why do I have to see everything in the light of deceit?
Of fleeting moments, on a turning wheel,
A hamster going nowhere ever, just round and round,
Looking for that, which can be nowhere found,
Pure bliss without the bitter coating,
Where does this hell originate, that my mind fishes from the abyss?
Is this sadness wisdoms kiss?

Ouch! A philosophical ferris wheel and the reason we never really know what comes next, even when we are close, nice writing....

Be always safe,

dear man be happy you are passionate enough to care!
You will suffer more, but your reward will eventually
be well worth it!

"Is this sadness wisdoms kiss?"

Good poem! Good questions, Jasmin! From sadness and pain, I think we dare hope to learn -- to grow -- to prioritize our values -- and hopefully learn to appreciate our blessings!

If one didn't know sadness, one would not know happiness. There must be a contrast to learn which is which.

If sadness is really wisdom's kiss, we need far more sad people in this abysmal world of ours today. Perhaps we all need to become sad, before we can make a world that is happy and glad.
