What salvation?
Pain caused by the human greed,
So many creatures big and small,
No human decency you heed,
Cruelty your call,
Puppy mill to slaughterhouse,
In cages bound and tied, they suffer,
Monkeys, dogs, and little mouse,
To Gods of cruelty we offer,
In aggression would our goodness mend?
Of so much better use it be,
Instead our evil deeds defend,
What happiness we’d see!
Gluttony, murder, greed, not love,
It seems we have forgotten,
Admonishments from up above,
Moreover, on the path to hell are trotting,
I am first; I am hungry, sick, in need,
Never mind who is being hurt,
Salvation need with speed,
Who cares, if suffering has occurred?
You enlightened darling of the ages,
As Gods the universe pursues,
Yet in sin you pay your wages,
Not your better nature’s truth,
Every moment every day,
Walk blinded in the light of God,
You lost your path, your way,
Without the light of love, you will find him not.
