A temple of love!

You dream of paradise,
To escape the hell you’ve created,
You sell tickets to it; prayers,
You formulated rituals, build temples,
However, this temple of God,
He has created in love, you destroy,
Furthermore, all that contained within it,
Life and beauty; the birds and bees,
Out of fear of death;
You have become greedy of life,
However, life, without love, is life without God;
For you destroyed his love, his creation,

Rebuild His temple, if you could ever;
Have his love, his wisdom,
Only he knows; he gave his kin,
Of every flower and tree,
Furthermore, the things, that lives with you still,
Don’t destroy more with your greedy fear,
Fear of hunger, fear of death, fear of life and God,
Love instead, be not afraid,
It might, that, the trees and grass, the rose and violet,
Furthermore, all the beauty of God’s love might once more return,
To sustain you, in the paradise he has made,
Escape the hell, your own, the one you’ve created!

Jasmin, just as the others say, there is a great deal of wisdom and insight in this poem. I see the word, war, cited as one of the major reasons for ruin. I agree, but I have to bring up one of my own pet peeves that ruins on the American continent, and Americans want to ignore it--that's the use of the automobile. The wastefulness of our land use, and destruction of much of the habitat around us is connected to the way we use the automobile, and we simply won't give it up or change it....Jerry

Brings up a great question: Do those who are greedy for life truly fear death? Somehow I think of all the reason for war is about those greedy for the wrong kind of life.

Escape the hell, your own, the one you’ve created!

I fear there will soon be no escape, for anyone, unless many more like you begin to care.

Yes, we do create our own hell, much truth to your poem.

Great write poet. We've really made a mess out of his creation, haven't we? I wonder if it's too late to turn things around? There is power in numbers so let's try. If everyone does their part in each and every way maybe we can repair what was.

Fear, man as create that for himself, unhappiness also, and envy, and malice, and jealousy, going further and further away from the One that gave man the way to choice right.
