Tycoons! Typhoons, and all them loony tunes!
One skeleton at a time,
Out of their graves they crawl,
Monsters of times past,
Reappearing, roaring,
But like their human counterparts,
Not learned from their history,
Their excesses in size and weight,
Compared to sustainable existence,
Not heeded, with greed consumed the earth,
Until a lucky piece of heavenly message,
Plummeted to earth, a messenger,
For their demise, despite their size,
But millions of years of rest,
Have us with their oil wells blessed,
Yet revenge is on the way,
They now want their say,
A fight to wage with fossils of our own,
Yet still alive, tycoons of corporate size,
Greedy and unwise,
Mother earth despise,
No star yet fallen down to earth,
Yet destroy their hearth,
And all the little creatures too,
Including me and you,
Greedy kids of mother earth,
Shamed to give them birth,
Another rock out of the sky,
Or waters falling,
But yet the rainbow,
No my friends plenty of water,
Plenty here on earth,
It will melt in time,
It will be their dearth,
To parched to drink,
But drown in its salty brine,
Will all our wilful greed,
Kill also yours and mine?
