And there they walked in the lord’s domain,
Whispering how beautiful, how beautiful,
Mother earth had put on her spring dress,
The angel birds were flying in the wind,
Songs of love were in the air,
Mother earth had finally shaken off the devil,
That demon of greed that was raping her,
And despoiling all that she had go give,
Love for her children, all of them,
The flowers, and grasses, the trees,
Butterflies and bumblebees,
The little doe, the wolf cub in the den,
The eagle in the sky, the little wren,
And now her basket full of bounty,
And with some little care and work,
Will replenish it every year for everyone,
If we don’t eat that treasure she wove,
All by ourselves, but share it with all her children,
And in thankfulness give back her share,
Look up above; give thanks for all her love!
