A why-knot atop a tree,
What reminded me?
Yes exactly that,
Soon that it will be,
Despite foot deep in the snow,
And despite of what I know,
Spring is some month away,
Thoughts of it I sow,
And why is that you ask,
A tiny nest, that in the sunlight bask,
Woven over a fork of twigs,
A springtime type of task,
Admiring this precious piece of art,
Made me from the moment part,
And viola I see,
Springtime in my heart,
Though still no little young,
And yet no springtime song,
In virtual reality,
The image was so strong,
I seen and heard the twitter,
Flying here and thither,
A happy busy tune,
As if the month were hither,
A delicate reminder of,
That the heavens up above,
Soon will send the grasses grow,
And fill the air with love.
