A wee dram he said,
As he raised his head,
From silken covers bed,
Be resting there instead,
Milling all about his friends,
Treat him weel to make amends,
All fine upstanding gents,
Gave him the best of whiskey blends,
Ach, he said, this sure is weel,
His pleasure not conceal,
Horses would I steal,
If another dram you’d fill,
And soon he raised his body up,
And held out for another cup,
No need this life to stop,
Then soon he stood there with the lot,
From every region of the isles,
And hills around for miles,
Had come to send him of in style,
Not, his taste buds to beguile,
All had brought a dram or two,
Wish him a joyous journey true
Some, of old time stories knew,
A wee good dram your life renew,
Proud he stood among the crowd,
Unruffled kilt and strolled about,
Feel better growled out loud!
Wha’st this all about?

Happy Robbie Burns Day to you, but I think I'll skip the Haggis!
