It's a lot of fun and ego to play god, with the curiosity and magic want, but we should remember, to stay proper within our humble limits, not destroy or rearrange that which we could never originate, this is not a religious perspective, just correct and logical thinking, calling God the originator of all their is, and the all there is, including every leaf etc.

Deeply and with verves delight,
Did he seek that wand so bright
And when he found it near a cauldron bight,
He danced with such delight,

Sing and dance he did,
He found the magic wand well hid,
Beneath the cauldrons pit,
To use it with his wit,

That why the master hid it well,
In misuse not make hell,
From demons that half baked,
Their thirst from power slaked,

Curiosity though that killed the cat,
This apprentice boy looked in the vat,
And on his boss to find revenge,
Create this devils stench,

Mixing this and mixing that,
It broiled that overflowing vat,
Conjuring with his new found toy,
Hell and heaven would employ,

His triumphs rivalled now the lord,
He had outdone his sport,
Instead of wisdom tool,
He made himself a fool,

He thought without the toy this stick,
God was prone to all his trick,
Forgot who held the switch,
All his tricks could ditch,

Soon enough the poisoned water,
Brought all the world to slaughter,
Reluctant though to see,
His follies came to be,

Cursed he held that magic want up high,
His last breath was a sigh,
On his lips the question why,
Did you make me have to die?

Superb descriptive poem that shows the danger in playing god, while ignoring what the real God has in store for those who have so devastated this world and all His Creation. There will be hell to pay!!!

And when he sat on his wand stick
got a reminder from He the Switch,
that if you gonna go against Him...
yore too little for so big breeches.

Forgot who held the switch

I think many have forgotten who holds the switch; and far too many human beings have been arrogantly Playing God for far too long now. (And, of course, doing an abysmal job of it.) I sadly wonder these days, if His hand might already now be on The Kill Switch.
