I shall change only slowly, probably not in this lifetime ha

The beast inside,
Where does it hide?
What caverns how deep,
Where does it sleep?

666 that monsters name,
Can I not that demon tame?
Not ever, if and when,
I think myself a perfect ten,

At best I feel and pray,
To keep my worst at bay,
But knowing that it’s there,
Of that I’m much aware,

A halo would not suit,
For I am too, a common brute,
One that’s dark and light,
And with much internal fight,

Adjust me eye to see the other,
Not to let their darkness bother,
But also see their brightness glow,
Not always call them so and so,

This hard for me, my monster snorts,
With practiced devious ways retorts,
Keeps bullying me around,
Afraid he might be found,

My little Adolf I salute,
Just like him I can be rude,
Or little Stalin tsukashvillin,
His twin a little villain,

Don’t think that I’m confused,
I’ve been, and have abused,
Sometimes others have I used,
And been of worse accused,

Forget, but need remember,
Of all humanity I’m a member,
Related to the good and bad,
The most glorious, and sad,

Sinners in us all, and God,
And little demons have we got,
But also angels true and sweet,
In all most common folk you meet,

Folks, if I, God forbid, of you made sport,
And called you names of sort,
I’m telling you, you’re not all bad,
Now telling you, would make you glad.

Always find it interesting when we dive into our souls and acknowledge what lies deeply hidden, one to think about...

Be always safe,

J.H. did you ever notice that when we smile :o)we make a cup ")" that welcomes and holds much good, but when we frown :o( the (d)evil from below can creep into us? Besides, smiling at the opposotion makes 'em wonder what we're up to!! Yet, that little devilment in us keeps our hearts beating :o) I relate to this poem...

And I thought it was 999, well that's happen for going through life with the eyes closed, ear plugs and a muffle on the mouth.
See nothing, hear nothing, say nothing, just let my hands do the things.
Ha! ha!! Ha!!!

I think a little devil in all of us, is a good thing; it keeps us on our toes. But I also think that if we don't control it, and we let it grow, it can eventually consume us.
