I think all other creatures would and do a better job of looking after themselves without destroyin themselves and all that sustains them.

Let your minds eye wonder whole,
Take all along you are, your soul,
Look deep into that eternal sea,
I ask to really look and see,

What you see that changed in time,
Search the past and search the future,
Of human tragedy, and Gods,
Has anything at all, or is it too sublime,

In temples the human Gods of gold,
The slaves toil among the poor, their crying kin,
Bring their Gods more riches toil,
Year by year, more miseries unfold,

Aged in humanity’s trail of time,
Of misery and splendour,
Separated only by the their walls,
Like rats are doing fine,

Walk there among the trotted poor,
Tall towers among tin shake row on row,
Knurled hands like carpets knots,
A little wrench, her sustenance secure,

Not this disaster caused by God,
Nor mother natures hand,
She gave them what she got,
But human nature is the plot,

His nature fear and insecurity,
It drives him safety to seek,
In numbers, or in gold,
You know whereof I speak,

Look a million years ago you say,
Did we ever change?
No hope I have, not likely,
That dragon fear will slay,

Don’t tell me smock, were trying,
That line is frayed and weak,
We just don’t want to know,
Millennia we’ve been lying,

Festering this sore this pain,
In us all, what will we gain?
It’s time we passed the torch,
To those that less insane.

Oh please let us pass the torch as mankind has caused so much damage through laws of insanity....

Be always safe,

One of the best poems you have shared with us, and yes GREED has metamorphosed itself into a giant octopus which have degenerated into a monster with many arms, more arms than those needed to hold the gold.

Strong and intensely moving with a lot of spiritual depth to it. Well written and presented.
