Millions are suffering, will praying help them, has it so far? just asking.
If you're smoking, should you be praying for good health, or if this doggie is starving should you not feed it? just asking.

Na it just can’t be,
I mean, it’s just too easy,
Just kneel down and pray,
And you are clear and free?

Why can’t I just do that?
Not I haven’t tried, but,
Just the same that doggie died,
And that was that,

I mean It laid there suffering in pain,
On the steps of the church,
No one bend to pick it up,
But I prayed and prayed in vain,

I thought now what is wrong,
Why don’t my prayers work?
It’s faith you need they said,
I knew it all along,

But I thought and thought,
Why when God is testing,
In faith your works be resting,
This argument I had not bought,

Dead it was, of neglect too soon,
As my faith, to heal it failed,
A drink of water what it needed?
Of thirst it died, not of prayers swoon

Pray my friends, by all means pray,
If nothing can be done,
If your hands are tied and numb,
But if you can, do not his works delay.

Too many wait for God to fix their sin,
Too many want him to do their work,
Too many run to church and pray,
Too many, a free ride they think they win.

Jasmin this is so true, the church is a lovely place no doubt but when we believe that all we have to do is say a prayer or two and all that ails this world will be corrected then we are all sadly mistaken.

As an old man with a long string of years back me and a few tight spots were the only thing between you and six feet under was a prayer, yes, I will say that it works, definitely, no doubts about, and even non believers can't explain it, because it goes against any logic.
But it works, and thank God it does!

Hi Jasmine. I think I know what you are getting at. I see faith as prayer and action. We need both. Is that what your were saying?

With Love,
Cindy
