For the lack thereof!

Inspired by Ed's early morning walk to the now worldwide dump that is soon to be and wee fishes that Georg dragged along the ocean floor, and all of you who are concerned and voicing their concern for our living planet, bless you all!

Is it the buzzing in my ear I hear?
My imagination or my fear,
What’s happening to Momma earth so dear?
Or is it soon the end is near?

I seen I don’t know if it was a dream,
More like a nightmare it would seem,
Factories printing money from good food,
To feed us all they would,

Some French chef dress it up with poop,
For each creation sort of different scoop,
Cafés and boulevards, and all you seen was green,
No not grass or trees, but all that moneys sheen,

They were stuffing themselves, gorging full,
Such is the moneys pull,
So full they could, it seemed, barely breathe,
And then I realized, it was the lack of trees,

But anyhow, I do digress; this could be a real mess,
Bistros and cafes of wild buck and pate de fois, I guess,
Have not caused this mess, but printers did,
Kept on printing, and printing all that shit,

Of course those that wanted it at first, they just filled their thirst, I can’t remember who would refuse, this green stuffs ever use,
But now, what do we have, lagoons of shit, our ocean spas,
No more fish, or waters clean, no more trees or forest sheen,

Parking lots, and dirty air, dirty youth with dirty hair,
Where no one for the other care,
No more grass to take a stroll, poison finally took its toll,
Dirty buildings, dirty sky, dirty air, no birds more fly,

A White House full of green, and full of lies,
All problems it denies,
Trinkets hang around their neck in glory scheme,
Telling us all the while, it’s not as bad as it would seem,

Dead ducks on the White House lawn have gathered,
Where you and I our shit have splattered,
All is quiet now, money covered corpses do not swear,
How could they, now can’t breathe the air?

Jasmin, your love for our planet is very passionate -- as for the politics and their lies -- their deceit will mark their end -- sensibility will eventually return to Washington if we all remain vigilant and refuse to give in to their never ending greedy demands -- less government means a better life for the rest of us --"government of the people, by the people, and for the people" --peace and love -- Jon Michael

Jasmin,
A powerful, angry voice and one that truly cares for our future on this once beautiful planet. Well done, Sir!

Fantastic piece to coincide with Mr. Ed's and so full of emotion and sadness as to the current fate of our precious Mother Earth...

Be always safe,

JASMIN,

Very powerful write, and sadly, oh so true. I cannot fathom that fact that we are actually killing ourselves with blindfolds on.

All is quiet now, money covered corpses do not swear,
How could they, and now, they can’t breathe the air.

I see a very dismal future for this once great, green, glorious planet we were given, and these days, when my wife complains that we're getting old, I often respond, "Maybe it's better to now be old; I'd hate to live on this planet 50 years from now, but I do feel very sorry for today's children."

The President are planting tomatoes on the White House garden.
Corporations are dumping our garbage on a African nation that need the money to feed its people.
A few States have reinstated the death penalty.
We are giving money to the same people that lost ours.
I am crazy?

Georg

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
