Tall spires golden domes, temples, and minarets,
Build on the words of god,
Rites of witches by the moon,
Eternal flames on Mount Olympus,
Druids at Stonehenge,
Epic tales in stone of Odin,
Sanskrit ancient pyramids,
Pagodas with curved roofs,
Prayer flags and prayer wheels,
Sweet grass and Manitou,
All knowing God in relation to their path,
In relation to their inner self,
An expression of closeness to the eternal,
All want to reach for the hand of God or Goddesses,
Rituals engrained in tradition,
Of songs and chants, and prayers,
Crying I am yours, I am yours,
Guide my in your ways!
Mayhem and destruction though,
Estrange them fighting each other,
Estrange them and their God from each other,
I wonder what thoughts permeate the entity that is God.
An unknown entity, only by the mind and mouth of its followers,
Where may the truth be my friends, playing tic tack toe?

I sadly often wonder the same - especially seeing the way we so called 'Children of God' act so horrendously against each other and against the wondrous world that was provided for us.
Georg
"I wonder what thoughts permeate the entity that is God." I find that these lines are more about religion and philosophies of MAN and not about God, as man's ways of "finding God" have always been his (man's) ways. An honest sincere search would not be "tic tac toe" because the God I know never plays games, particularly "hide and seek"- my question therefore is : Are you REALLY searching?
We blame God for things man accomplished upon himself by his own efforts and blame His "entity" for our own failures and stubborn pride.
Cynthia
thanks, Jasmin, for reminding us of the universal need for some faith in a god

You ask very serious questions here, questions as old as our species, and highlight in an eloquent way the conflicts of 'my God is better than your God' which we still haven't been able to get our heads around and reconcile once and for all.
