The trouble with constantly trying to be perfect
So far I have not succeeded, and I am a long ways off.

The trouble with me you see, is me,
And the way I like to be,
Constantly I am debating,
And myself berating,
You should have or could have,
But you didn’t, why you such an ass,
And on and on it goes, it has no end,
And none other could my problems mend,
Counselling would take and fast,
Would it only last?
Experience has taught me that,
Some are crazier than a bat,
They need more help then me,
I could charge them a fee,
And then there is the wounded raw,
That still on rotten carrion claw,
And ooze their rotten hurt,
Make sure you get a spurt,
The only ones I found so far,
That healed that itch that scar,
No judgements unlike me they bring, or mooch,
Is an unconditionally loving pooch

I had a dog who was a perfect counselor, big, brown eyes with a sharp bite, but he passed away because his life got counted in dog years, and mine is going on......Jerry

Jasmin, there is much truth in your work -- the silent, loving and obedient, four legged friends in many cases are the best to be found -- peace and love-- Jon Michael

Animals often seem much wiser than we humans, and they truly do love - unconditionally. That's why I wanna be a wolf or a dog in my next life.

Trying to be perfect? well, here's some thoughts...
PERFECTIVE: wanted to be classified in that category but too lazy.
PERFECT PARTICLE: a little man with a 400 pound wife.
PERFECT PARTICIPLE: he can't say "no" to a panties raid.
PERFECT TENSE: wife enters horse too early when "entertaining"the maid PERFECTIBLE: wishing the wife didn't herd the maid's Ahhhh! ! !
PLUS-PERFECT: got a pay-raise and bonuses on the job.
PAST-PERFECT: old aunt leaves everything to him!
PRESENT PERFECT: wife never heard the maid.
FUTURE-PERFECT: maid's not pregnant.
PERFECT-GAS: his pooch ate too much beans!

That will teach you trying to be perfect!

Georg

Jasmin how right you are ,if we would only learn from them that sometimes we should be silent and just show our love with a snuggle and a warm body just being there is enough...
