Be fruitful and multiply, and destroy the world,
Isn’t that the way it reads?
Or have I the wrong page unfurled,
From the book of greed’s,
Doesn’t it say, be greedy if you can?
On that tablet made of stone,
Laws, that made for man,
Isn’t that the gist or tone?
And obeying it successfully,
With all our might and fervour be,
We cut down every living thing and tree,
How much more pleased can the creator be,
No matter, monkey’s birds, or donkeys,
No more fishes in the sea,
Destroy, destroy, like zombies,
All there is with glee,
And as we do, that we were told,
The god’s they must be pleased,
We let their work unfold,
All living things have ceased,
Mine, mine, mine, the word it is,
Sharing, not an option, no,
Taking more, than sharing, is our bliss,
Still, goodness reap, but destruction sow.©
We sure seem to be doing a hell of a job of it, too. In 1950, 2.5 billion humans lived on planet Earth, and there was still plenty of room for both humans and nonhumans. By 2050, (if we haven't completed destroyed it already) they say there will be 10 billion humans fighting for space and food on it, and destroying everything and every other living creature, in their way. I'm glad I'll be long gone. The modern day plague of human locusts has arrived.
Because many people think they are entitled to more, more and much more because...? Then we have that nagging question, when enough is enough? To be included on Fortune 500 is enough? to be the richest man on earth is that enough? So, why that feverish "I gonna accumulate more" is coming from?
When we had fell every tree and kill every green producing our breathing essentials and there is not more oxygen...what good will be doing all their gold?

In these lines you ask the question I often ask myself: do we deserve the planet at all? And the answer is we don't...our profligacy and abuse are monumental. Well said!
