enjoy it while you can, make a special effort, gratify your soul even.

Have another glass of sherry,
Or wine, or port, and be so merry,
Of those truffles eat your fill,
For tomorrow die you will,
Bother not give it a thought,
This life with wooden nickels bought,
Soon it’s gone and went,
This betrayal cannot mend,
Come what may, you paid this thief,
That held your hand in false belief,
You thought you’d live forever,
Now think, it’s never, never,
Will I, will I die,
What a waste, oh my!
How could the world without me live?
What tragedy, my life I give,
But HE is waiting can’t you see,
That bony GHOST, for you and me©13/07/2009

Everybody wants to talk about retirement, Jasmin, but few want to talk about what comes after retirement. Yet, it's the most profound question of all. You got it right here........Jerry

"dust in the wind", is so appropriate here Jsmin --you have grabbed reality by the throat and tossed it into the ring with the reader -- excellent work my friend -- peace and love -- Jon Michael

Good question.....
