Apathy oh apathy,
I don’t feel and I don’t see,
But when they’re coming after me,
Then I pray upon my knee,
Strange so strange, it seems to say,
We’re alright Jack, we’re ok,
I don’t care what comes your way,
I’m not joining in your fray,
It’s neither here not there,
Why should I your problems share,
Can’t you see that I don’t care?
It’s your ticket; it’s your fare,
Come, come now, there my friend,
Just for you the rules can’t bent,
Why should I, your problems mend,
You’ll have to suffer to the end,
I told you once, I told you twice,
Don’t look at me with puppy eyes,
I don’t care your mommy cries,
It’s not me, but you that dies,
Disassociation in the nation,
From all of God’s creation,
From all his kin and his relation,
Selfishness the new sensation,
Be it homeless souls, or folk in need,
All the ones of other creed,
On their suffering, we do feed,
Rampant runs, the greed, greed, greed…….©17/07/2009
turn the tide. Things don't change by themselves. It takes a voice
like yours, Jasmin. Keep up the good work!
Richard
Your great brave voice is heard clearly once again above the deafening silences of don't give a toss, no skin off my nose, whatever, and it doesn't affect me. Bravo, Sir!

In Spirit,
Bear
And so much apathy, in so many nations,
And so much blindness, in the death of Creation.
