Becoming whole

The question I not often enough ask on my journey through life, Am I following my own beat, or someone elses, because it's more accepted?

 

 
 
 
Have I marched today?
Have I been in tune and step?
With that my heart does say?
Do I pray that prayer still?
The one my heart beats faster,
Or followed someone else’s will,
That led me to disaster,
 
Am I on that road, that track?
The one that leads to where I’m going,
As the wind was at my back,
Does my heart and soul still ask?
Does it demand an answer still?
Are we successful at our task?
How do you focus our will?
 
Or have we found a road less rugged?
Or a drummer mad as hell,
On our way to kick the bucket,
I am asking, you’re the judge,
I am your heart and soul,
Just know this, the end you cannot fudge,

Seems that my road is one going always up with no top insight, but I will continue to climb just for the heck of annoying those that expect me to quit!

life is indeed a journey of varying experiences ... we moved onward becoming more and being whole, as long as we seek and explore our creative longings and relationships ...

You ask some mighty wise question in this poem, Jas! Are we not formed by all our life's experiences, and those who were a part thereof? Fortunately, there is Guidance from Above that smooths out our "gouged mistakes". We learn from our journey, and stopovers, of living. You make us think, dear friend!

Become a Being - powerfully stated, my friend. These sad days, I often think that nonhuman earthly beings have somehow managed to retain their hearts and souls, while we have very sadly lost ours by following the wrong path in life.
