What you believe is what you get,
I believe in love,
Not all of them I take to bed,
Nor searching for thereof,
But this little creature small,
It has the same idea,
For loving it does call,
To cuddle and be near,
It sleeps nearby,
But then at five,
Wakes up and then does fly,
Atop my head to see if I’m alive,
If I don’t stir or make a sound,
It sits atop my chest,
There sleeping deep it will be found,
From my beard caressed,
Pecks at my nose to wake me up,
Flaps its wings gone wild,
No matter if I say please stop,
This wild and loving child,
It talks to me and looks at me,
And should I say a kiss,
Its little beak it finds my lips,
Not ever does it miss,
It loves cherries, apple pancakes and the lot,
First for breakfast in the morn,
I guess that hits the spot,
Soon thereafter, it does my head with poop adorn,
Then out the door it sails,
Just now and then it comes to see,
It never ever fails,
For some midday snack and tea,
Or water, and splashes wildly showing off,
Such happiness in love we dare,
Such wild abandon do I love,
For love, this beautiful and true we share.©02/09/2009

Blessings and Love - Micke
If only many more believed as you do.

You're such a romantic..and a big soft heart; in other words a great human being and your little friend knows it. Delightful!
