If someone fell into your doorway,
Your doorway to hell,
Would you step over him?
Or curse him on the way out,
Is that what you’re about?
Take a step back,
If a creature in agony,
In front of you stood,
Would you not help?
Or would you look the other way,
And leave it there to yelp,
Take a step back,
Would you run to church?
On Sunday’s teaching,
About all the sins,
Yours and mine,
But the devil you are preaching,
Take a step back,
That pen that’s on your desk,
That magic pen with power,
Use it well for change,
That by God is blessed,
Hear I say you can’t?
Take a step back,
When comes the time,
You fall into HIS doorway,
And you expect to stay,
Expect HIM to pick you up,
What would you say?
Take a step back?
He’s the one you prayed too,
He heard every cry, felt every pain,
Did you hear his?
The ones you caused,
The help you did abstain,
Take a step back,
Millions crying in the night,
Humanity and creatures,
Blight and horror everywhere,
Where is your help, your will?
Are you debating still?
Take a step back,
Just a penny or a dime,
For every penny spend a thought,
Where and why and how it might,
Before your time runs out my friend,
If goodness you had bought.©22/11/2009
Knock and keep on knocking my friend and doors will open.

Humanity and creatures,
Blight and horror everywhere
How horrifically true, these sad days.
