Shadows barely out of sight,
Hide beneath my foot,
I wonder if I should,
Raise it up to light,
Sweetness though I find within,
This creature small and timid,
Part of myself within it,
Though, others call it sin,
Fear of light it scurries,
Across the darkened floor,
Away from sight, once more,
Away from light it hurries,
Yet, my soul a yelp I hear,
This tiny creature small,
And I, near ten feet tall,
This little creature fear,
It will, I well still hear,
Of days gone past, of mothers cry,
It will soon breed and multiply,
And eat you up, my dear,
So many little souls I killed,
Just because, in my perception,
Ugly I was told they where, upon some past reflection,
This was deeply in my mind instilled,
The one thing though that I forgot,
How would I look to it, in all I am?
Would they, as, I, think of them,
Or would they, know, that in all there’s God,
But surely not, for barely we, the light of all creation,
Barely we, accept such thought, or practice,
That all, all there is, is his,
Shadows such, surely bring sensation,
If I have hurt or harmed in sin,
Forgive, that barest all,
In ignorance did hide or fall,
Forgot, that you were kin,©05/01/2010
