How many do really care what we do to creatures, can you look them in the eye, if you ever meet them, either here, or across that rainbow bridge?

It never ends,
Fix one fence,
The other bends,
Then spills out the herd,
Bulls in a china shop,
The mentally absurd,
And so again, and again,
You know the drill,
Mending fences is a pain,
With China now make deals,
They sell us fur,
We sell them seals,
Blood red the ice again will be,
Again the ruffians we set free,
On our sentiments they pee,
Don’t forget the politicians,
Them’s the real culprits,
Just for votes they’re fishing,
Three hundred thousand lives,
Innocent and sweet,
Only greed them drives,
Happy will they be,
These left handed bastards,
The fashion industry,
God it makes me sick,
To think it a tradition,
Kill babies with a stick,
But then I know, few even care,
Not a moment protest,
Or a cent will share,
Tomorrow there be fifty for the whales,
No not thousands you’d expect,
And some in arctic gales,
Yeah, if anyone someday will ask,
When all is dead and gone,
Did you my friend, take them to task?
And so it seems, we carry on as always,
Fight in foreign lands our kind,
To others we are blind,
And hide away in caves.©12/01/2010

But then I know, few even care

To me, that's the saddest part, and it doesn't say much for our race.
