Protests, protests, another tonight for a benefit dance, sponsored by a furrier, how nice, kill a million animals cruelly, and give back a dollar on the million, who the hell ask the little beings if they want to suffer for our misguided lifes? Fur farms, Europe too is full of them, yet we accept their help to stop the import of seal skins, I would like to see all of it stopped, and no not because I am a vegetarian, no because I believe we have no right, to use and abuse other species for our greed, we are as a species unlike them poor things, have bigger and better and more enlightened choices don't you think.

What does it take?
Their cruel greedy thirst to slake,
While in a mansion lives that fink,
In tiny boxes lives his mink,
So tiny, that each other bite,
Of frustration, hurt, and fright,
Does he care how much they suffer?
No, not one reprieve does offer,

To pay his mortgage and his bills,
Every day a thousand kills,
Electrocutes them from their anus,
How cruel is that, how heinous?
A living creature just like you and me,
It wants to live, and just to be,
Why can’t he get it in his head?
Except for him, they are now dead,

These once living beings just barely dead,
Still warm, skins them all, and goes to bed,
No nightmares visit him,
He does not, see his sin,
Now if the law allowed,
I would be mighty proud,
To build a box for him,
To raise him for his skin,

You see now, the dilemma?
He's protected by the law,
And there the matter lies,
He needs not hear their pleading cries,
And those for lack of work that live in shacks,
Little seals to death they hacks,
There all along the northern shore,
A cruel season of blood and gore,

All is legal; the law is on his side,
After all, it’s life don’t count, but just its hide,
Blood money pays the government,
And so becomes a licensed gent,
Killing critters, no matter what or who,
No matter left alone, or what they do,
Not want to be killed, in traps, or deadly other tricks,,
Or beat to death with hakapiks,

Wearing other creatures skin,
A proud tradition is, not thought as sin,
Millions are dying a cruel death,
Even that, the local priest all will bless,
I guess the greenback rules,
Among all the greedy ghouls,
Heart and soul not mean a thing,
If it does not money bring,

Legal murder in the trillions,
For some, that makes their millions,
When will we disallow this crime?
The vote is yours and it is mine,
Wait another day what for,
Not Your conscience knocking, on a door,
Act now; stand on your soapbox, and your right,
And veto down this cruel blight.©16/01/2010

Blood Money - Mankind's Modern Day Mantra - and probably, our downfall. Our world today is so sadly ruled, by Blood Money, and not nearly enough human beings even care.

In a world that condemns the author of the humorous book "101 ways to skin a cat" (just a quote, not relating to kittens but trying to tell us how easy is to find different solutions to different problems) in a world so corked out it is not impossible to understand the incongruity of no condemning the actually cat skinners for profit.

This will not be stopped by laws, too many lawyers. This will be stopped by the marketplace. Take the profit out by shaming those that participate in the purchase of fur. Your words keep the fires burning and perhaps one by one folks will get the message. Patrick

A stinging indictment, indeed... all for the mighty dollar.
