A media feeding frenzy, what is the hoped for gain in this everlasting reporting of these poor peoples hurt and devastation, will it bring back the dead, of those under the rubble? A live ghoul's feed in Haiti..........
Yes Dear Jasmin it's past covering news, it's needless explortation of suffering and death for those with a gratuitous hunger to watch it. An astute poem. I agree completely with Mr. Ed.
Thousands of reporters, camera men, and journalists have flown in - to cover one story. The mind boggles at the amount of money being spent on them for transportation, food, and equipment that could have instead gone to needed relief efforts.
After a week from earthquake day, food, medicine and water can't come through (too dangerous, they said) and yet that blasted TV cameras are everywhere, journalists going trough to comply with that everlasting myth about my rights to know.
People are dying because nobody fond the way to go trough with heavy machinery to move the rubble? They should ask the TV people to take charge, they seems to know...
What is really a shame along with the 24/7 reporting is the food, water, and supplies that are so desperately needed are being held up in part because of all the POLITICIANS flying over and landing their planes leaving the military planes with food, supplies, medicine to circle and wait. Who is in dire need here???
