How much do you really care?
Ask it deeply of yourself,
For this our mother earth,
With all her brut to share,
A butterfly with glorious wings,
The willow tree with golden hair,
The turtle doves and robins fair,
The thrush that in the morning sings,
The morning fingers of the sun,
Warm on your face your heart,
The rush of life of which you’re part,
And I have just begun,
I do agree, all have different ways to see,
I would not the least be surprised,
If differently you have surmised,
Just don’t care for bird or tree,
Black topped parking lots for miles,
Box stores and box churches too,
Maybe here and there a zoo,
Is that what does you beguile?
On automatic is this planet,
No need for you to pay,
A patron for your stay,
Can you get it better darn it,
Not an ounce you pay for beauty,
Or the air you breathe,
Or even for to stay a lease,
A real good deal you got, a cutie,
It’s high time you did defend your stay,
Your birthright and your lease,
No matter who it please,
For God’s sakes have your say,
Once it’s gone, though it’s too late,
Only those that left with money,
Have all the fun and honey,
Get of your ass and do not wait,
Shame on us that are ungrateful,
Just take and take, give nothing back,
Only waste leaves in its track,
We’ll all be sorry, and that’s no bull.©04/02/2010

I'm on my way outdoors, to enjoy what's left, but I had to respond here to your question.
Very sadly, in my opinion, based on what I now see and hear and experience, each and every day now, there are not very many left on this planet who truly care much, at all.
And God Help our future generations to come, for what we are so callously doing to them, today.
