In the wilds of the neighbourhood, I wonder, should I get a rooster instead,

Poem Artwork

There sure is plenty of it to go around,
Everywhere you look hatred can be found,
But I always wondered,
If some poor critter ever blundered,
Become a nuisance of a sort,
Would I, with hate retort,
Would I, hate a crazing cow,
Hate it for its poop somehow,
Or God knows whatever,
Would that be very clever?
Or the Raven that at six,
His racket with my sleep does mix,
I mean, if it were on purpose, then,
Maybe then, take offence, and when,
It happens often and to boot,
He did it for a hoot,
Well then a rocket from my slingshot shoots,
So this morn this rascal spoiled,
Woke me from my sleep still coiled,
Sirens, no, the decibel,
Was a racket right from hell,
No treat this morning will he get,
When I stumbled out of bed,
All the neighbours up in arms,
For these miscreant alarms,
A posse hunting for my head,
To get this friend of his instead,
Pissed off I am, in this a-m,
It’s not even ten,
Not enough the squirrels bury,
Which I share, then in a hurry,
Under mulch the neighbours mix,
Or play other crazy tricks,
When they stock their newfound goodies,
In their garden booties,
The little creatures and their flock,
Empty all their tummies stock,
On the neighbours Volvo car,
This they think, is just too far,
The bees, that sting the kids around,
They too, are in my backyard found,
I am guilty, my God that’s true ,
Give them refuge all I do,
This has brewed a storm,
I been told, this not the norm,
Stop being nice to other kind,
It’s better, us you mind,
All it started with a Ka,
It caused a real brew ha, ha, ha ha, ha, ha!!!!!©31/05/2010

The sounds you love to hate. We have a mockingbird nearby that finds the predawn hours quite attractive to well, attract. Wish the little shit success because my sleepy time is a bit short. Patrick

true for certain Jasmin, another case of, "the thing is what it is", and so it will remain as it is, as it should be -- ka ka ka -- awaken from your slumber Jasmin -- may peace and love be always with you my friend -- Jon Michael

...the strength (and good nature and humour) to accept the things that are however irritating; "His racket with my sleep does mix" great line, Jasmin, in a great piece. The racket I have to endure here is the symphony of middle-of-the-night squabbling cats...how off-key they play!
But it's your tolerance that shines through, the Jasmin Horst Seiler great heart that understands the right to life of all living things however much we are disturbed.

John

We have a war going on between a shitting-on-my-car crow and myself, we know each other, we recognize each other and we curse each other with all the forbidden epithets we can remember. I think we will have this war going on at the beyond and further than that too!!!

Georg

PS. the Big Boss said he didn't mind. (LOL)
