And though you are of candid stock,
And proud to burn your candle bright,
Still in my weakness you delight,
The efforts of my ways you mock,
Where are you better may I ask?
You dally forth in comforts arms,
When in your cheapened truth you bask,
The hurting me you truly charms,
I say, how you would dare to see, upon reflection
For just once, you be like me,
Stare at your life from my direction,
Your prejudice it might just flee. ©03/01/2013

it's a very ugly ignorance inside the heart of those
who spawn it. It's learned behavior. Your poems are
pinpoints & I think especially helpful to express
the other side of a prejudice...I think we all deal
with some sort of prejudice along the way. I grew up
being taught to fear African Americans that they were
dangerous, and thief's. But all the while people of my
color sexually abused me stealing my trust...I like
