No distance is too far
The mark you'll leave upon the world
Is from an unknown superstar
Behind the scene's you worked so hard
But no credit did you take
Others would steal that praise from you
Those people on the make
It was all done for your family
All those nights you worked alone
But your heart was almost ripped apart
By her cruelty on the phone
She had left you, you were never there
There was someone else, she sobbed
Now those years spent building up this home
All those years of hardship-robbed
Now you're left a simple broken shell
Confused and torn apart
Don't blame yourself, you didn't know
Of her cold black, callous heart
And don't despair, pick up those wings
Fly higher than before
But don't ever make the same mistake
