SWIMMING WITH THE DOLPHINS

For My Mommy

The heart’s water will run forever

In the form of a crescent moon

She smiles knowing we’re okay

The sun shines at high noon.

In her father’s kingdom

She has her dream home

With thoughts of nothing bothersome

And river beds of gold.

An angel has her wings

But they flap in the sea

She’s swimming with the dolphins

Waving at us effortlessly.

She told us not to worry.

She begged us not to cry.

She knew her time in glory

Was well beyond the sky.

Her heart was always pure and

As purple as royalty

God sacrificed his son, Jesus

And He let her suffering cease.

Her spirit continues on

Through you, me, and others

When you look into the ocean blue

Know that she will always be covered.

Jesus paid the price for her

His name was the last sound we heard.

God was the one who shared her with us

She lived by His word.

Rest in peace, mommy. We’re cheering your name. You’re

still loved and adored.
