My family is so important to me.
Without them, I don’t know where I would be.
Especially my sisters who are so close and loving toward me.
They have always been there when I needed their advice.
When I ask for their help they never think twice.
Having a bond like we have is so very nice.
I can’t imagine how I could have gotten through,
some things that I needed to get through,
without them by my side.
They always gave me their loving support
and from my needs they did not hide.
When I think of them, I swell with pride,
because I am lucky to have them to be my guides.
Through this world of ups and downs,
they help me smile instead of frown.
Some people are not as lucky as me,
to have such a thoughtful and kind family.
I thank God every day,
that he put me with them on my birthday.
If I would have to choose my family again,
I can’t imagine where I would begin.
It doesn’t get much better than they are.
In my opinion they are the best by far.
I am very glad we are part of the same tree.
Thank you, with love, my family.
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
