I wrote this poem for my only child, Vicki.
She has been as still is my reason.
My Daughter
My daughter is a wonderful gift to me.
She was sent from Heaven to teach me to see
the many things that a daughter can be.
When she was little she tugged at my heart and showed me that the special love between a mother and daughter would never depart.
As she grows older, we've had a few of life's trials
but they made us stronger and there's no denial.
She has been my strength to to be who I am and has also helped me to be gentle as a lamb.
She has given me the courage to be the best I could be, and I thank God daily for sending her to me. This part of me has taught me so much, to laugh and love and enjoy the touch of a hug from my daughter that I love so much.
