Little Mama
I grew up all too soon.
your daughter became my daughter.
Woman of the house was my title
Little Mama was my name.
Check Homework, style hair,
wash dishes, comfort her
when you weren’t there.
This was my game.
I am 26 a woman with a
Mother’s heart,
Hidden deep inside are my
emotions.
Eleven years have gone by
From time to time I still
Cry.
No one sees the tears
hidden deep inside.
I must be strong
and carry on.
Little Mama,
can you do my hair?
Bye, bye mommy I must get
back to work.
