When we behold another human being, it will take 5 seconds for us to determine
if they are worthy of another look.

Walking along the beach, searching amid the sand,
For pretty seashells that usually litter the land.
The shells are a bounty from the sea,
We only value the perfect shell, we are not concerned with missing entity.
The heart of the shell, that made it alive,
That spirit is now gone, it didn't survive.
Shell fascination, the adoration for the outter trappings, that pleases the eye,
Is it attractive enough to make us stop and stare, or shall we pass it by.
With just a swift glance, we will determine it's worth,
We will either treasure it, or pass it by, seeking another on the earth.
The outter shell just holds the spirit within,
It is just a casing, where soul and shell blend.
When the spirit has vanished, the shell falls apart,
Then there is just a pretty ornament without a heart.
