Like a charmed cobra begins to sway,
I stare transfixed as the day slips away.
I sigh," Life is a bank with time to borrow".
" Like Miss Scarlett, I will think on troublin things tomorrow!"
I bat my eyes and say," Fiddle-Dee-Dee!"
" Aint nothin gonna bother me!"
Today I'll just sing and play,
Save the gloom and doom for another day!
Then all of a sudden, tomorrow is here!
It has grabbed my attention and makes me shake with fear!
I sadly have to face it and will have nothing to say,
Now Scarlett, get your checkbook out, it is tomorrow, time to pay!

A parallel to the ant and the grasshopper, SC, and tomorrow is always real and often not very kind. Well done!

SC

How true. Sooner or later, the checkbook must come out and piper must be paid. But for now, just laugh at the world!

I agree with Bonnie's comment. Tomorrow never comes for when it comes it will become today, so you will always be happy to sing and play.

Wonderful write!!!
