La brise de la mer

French poem translated into English by the author as "The Sea Breeze"

La brise de la mer

 

Il faut écrire afin de vider son coeur

 sans le souci de l'éditeur.

Ce qui est écrit ne plait pas toujours,

mais pour vivre chaque jour,

il faut sentir chaque instant

 calme et violent,

triste ou joyeux

et tout court sentir ses poumons, ses boyaux

murmurer et vibrer d'amour.

C'est un mélange de sentiments qui résonne

une fois haut une fois bas,

une fois tendre une fois dur,

comme le vent du désert qui se joint au vent froid du nord,

il hurle, il nous bouscule

pour nous faire changer chemin,

et parfois même le destin 

pour se retrouver sans le vouloir,

dans la paix et la gloire, le lendemain.

 

La brise de la mer, le vent ou la pluie,

les sons de musique, ou les sons de nos voix

réveillent en nous les sentiments

que beaucoup ne connaissent pas encore,

ceux qui les sentent les constatent

sans pouvoir ni les expliquer ni les identifier,

mais ils sentent leur agréable présence

et se réjouissent dans le silence et l’innocence

pour découvrir leur essence.

L’esprit n’a pas de frontière

il pénètre les cœurs purs et clairs.

I don't know French, but I read, write and speak both English and Spanish. Therefore, what I could understand speaks of the beauty of the sea as the innocent breeze's presence of the sea. It sounded very tranquil.
