A Grandpa’s Poem

 
Avoid having an empty pocket
You should stay light as a rocket
What you cherish, give to the needy
Stay calm and healthy, don’t be greedy

The past is neither here nor there
It is within, in all its beauty
We tell about it to follow our heart
As we want to be active, do our part

How great it is to feel good and free
To finally be what we want to be
To be joyful and happy all the time
To write what we like, with a rhyme

Those who love their mothers
Will be able to care for others
The fragrance of fruit and flowers
And words will brighten their hours
