Meeting up with our Conscience
We talk about our childhood and its anecdotes
Of tests we had to take without taking notes
Of platonic romance, of our joys and our past
We believe is lost, erased, and forgotten fast
We are still seeking our childhood’s sweetness
Our friends, our classmates, our innocent neatness
The atmosphere of those days we got to observe
When we conducted ourselves with some reserve
Some spoke of the Alps and of the Sahara desert
Others dreamt, climbing Himalayas wouldn’t hurt
The games, the ambience, and the balls we tossed
The spirit of beautiful days we believed was lost
It is essential to find again that frame of mind
We felt the first stream of love sweet and kind
In order to get there, we must have lots of patience
And confront the jolt, the tremor of our conscience
