We used to live isolated in our space
And never saw any other author’s face
Be it even just images or pictures
Showing his or her features
Those who speak one language
Those who try others’ with anguish
Thanks to the internet, to AuthorsDen
Every writer can freely pen
Everyone can relate his dream
Knowing he has a supportive team
We meet each other every day
And learn what everyone has to say.
We are grateful to all the leaders
Be they writers, poets, or readers.
Those who contribute to the success
With art, skill and humbleness
We became a community without frontier
Supporting the values that we hold dear
We may have divergent ways to see things
But we all enjoy what creativity brings
We became a family with a common love,
For liberty, expression, writing, and above.

Perhaps our gathereing should be called "POÈTES SANS FRONTIÈRE"? or as the english speaking world will say "Poets Without Frontiers" because that's what we are doing, reaching far away...

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
